Holiday Spirits

Greetings by Greta was started on a whim between late 2020 and early 2021. During the COVID-19 quarantine, I made a goal to paint a small watercolour painting every single day. Shortly after, my mom requested a custom painting that she could turn into a holiday card to send to her accounts. She had dozens of restaurants she wanted to keep strong relationships with. The response was incredible. People loved the cards, and I decided on a whim that, hey, I could do something with this. Since then, I have slowly but steadily been adding to my collection of cards, each featuring a hand-painted design. Some have stories, while others are just fun. Each is very special to me, and I hope they can make someone else's day.
Greta Heitmueller is founder of Greetings by Greta. A biology major and lover of all things science and arts since she was young, she has found the perfect way to combine her shared interests through art. Many of her traditional works are environmentally focused, either highlighting underappreciated aspects of nature or drawing on her own experiences with the natural world.
She has a particular fondness for snails and aquatic life, and has made multiple pieces about her childhood in Florida.
She hopes to be able to connect with conservation organizations and researchers, and use her cards to bring awareness or fund research on endangered species.

Greetings by Greta is actively in the process of switching card producers to work towards more sustainable printing practices. We are currently shifting to get our mass printing done by Smartpress, which offers a variety of eco-friendly paper and printing options and has worked to be carbon neutral since January 2020.
